    Beginning disaster relief response in 1992, Operation Blessing has assisted millions of victims and their families with emergency food, medicine, water and shelter.

    2005

  • Undertook largest disaster relief response effort to date within hours after Hurricane Katrina's landfall. Committed to rebuild throughout 2006.
  • In response to a 7.6 earthquake in India and Pakistan, OBI airlifted 45 tons of blankets, food, antibiotics, and other medical material aid to the most devastated districts.
  • Food and aid was sent to flood victims in Dakar, Senegal.
  • Filipino families devastated by flooding received medical care and relief packets containing blankets, oral hygiene packs, towels and soap.
  • Continued relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts in tsunami-torn India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Thailand through a initiatives including food packages, rebuilding homes, boat building projects, medical care and micro-enterprise programs.
  • 2004

  • Emergency disaster relief teams were on the ground assisting thousands of victims within forty-eight hours after December 26, 2004's deadly Asian tsunami.
  • Relief and recovery efforts helped an estimated 261,075 people to Hurricane Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne survivors living in places including Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Cuba and the Grand Cayman
  • OB Philippines staff and volunteers put together and distributed more than 29,000 relief pails filled with food and clothing to survivors of four typhoons. Medical teams also went to remote areas and helped thousands of hurt and sick children and adults.

  • Disaster relief supplies to families that fought November's California wild fires
  • Assisted the Iraqi people with medical care, medicine and food relief
  • Delivered disaster relief and served food to Hurricane Isabel victims
  • In May, we brought relief supplies to survivors of the numerous tornados that hit the USA
